The artists Alias developed his first contacts with the streetart scene in the year 2000 in Hamburg. Since 2003 he lives and works in Berlin, where he began his artistic way of working intensively on developing his own Streetart Techniques. For over 4 years Alias is a highly active and heavily represented artist in the Berlin Urban Art scene. His works cant only be found in the traditional districts like Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, but also in Berlin Mitte and many other places in the city.

The functioning of Alias is due to the classic cut out and stencil technology, which he developed and refined over the years more and more. His works are characterized by a characteristic detail and multiple layers, only few artists in this scene have reached such perfection. Murals and also small stickers are present in his repertoire.
The artist name Alias can be almost always be found in his works in the streets. Alias is influenced his immediate living area in the urban landscapes and increases with this form accompanying the notice of his art.

The influences he refers directly from his living environment, films, photos and Internet pages. Often a tough but humorous note plays an important role in his artworks. Works like Rosie, School Glue or glue Boy are on the first view a pleasant thing, then on the second look they turn out quickly as elements influenced by social and public criticism and problems. In subjects such as Scream and Crying is an immediate hardship, which some viewers quickly reject. But always remains an impression hang the viewer in a personal dispute with the motives and stumbled into further stimulating thoughts.
Aesthetic as craftsmanship, Alias work are made out of such perfection and maturity, that they could stand symbolic for the whole streetart scene.
